NTUC Fairprice has submitted new data to WWF for consideration. The new data is yet to undergo a scientific verification. Stay tuned to get further updates on their progress.

Glenn Huang, vice president for group corporate affairs and communications said to Al Jazeera: “Our usage of palm oil is relatively small and, hence, we are unable to share specific usage details.”

Straits Times reports that at least 75 per cent of the palm oil used in Wildlife Reserves Singapore eateries is sustainably sourced.
“We encourage businesses to take this step and consumers to voice their support,” said its conservation and research director, Dr Sonja Luz.

Ayam Brand Country Managing Director, Roy Teo, said to The Straits Times that their products only use only certified sustainable palm oil. “While our total consumption of palm oil is limited, it is possible to make sustainable choices even when manufacturing in smaller volumes, We see this business decision paying off through increased employee satisfaction, higher brand value and new business opportunities in Europe, the United States and Australia, where sustainable palm oil has become a market entry criteria.”

Andrew Tjioe, CEO of Tung Lok said to The Straits Times: “We are all for sustainability, therefore we only use RSPO-certified cooking oil, even though it cost us more.”

WWF is looking forward to work with Tung Lok on their commitment to sustainable palm oil.
