Recommendation

WWF commends Denis Asia Pacific for showing strong leadership in regard to the procurement of sustainable palm oil within the Southeast Asia region.
It has demonstrated transparency and commitment to purchase 100% CSPO, is an active member in RSPO, a founding member of SASPO and publicly discloses the total volume of palm oil volumes used for each of their brands. While it has yet to achieve 100% physical CSPO, Denis Asia Pacific is leading the way for other Singapore-based companies to follow.

Ayam Brand Country Managing Director, Roy Teo, said to The Straits Times that their products only use only certified sustainable palm oil. “While our total consumption of palm oil is limited, it is possible to make sustainable choices even when manufacturing in smaller volumes, We see this business decision paying off through increased employee satisfaction, higher brand value and new business opportunities in Europe, the United States and Australia, where sustainable palm oil has become a market entry criteria.”
